Default VS Racing GT45 or 7875 turbo

I think I have it narrowed down to these two turbos for my build. It will be a 5.3 with a glide trans. Unsure of gearing yet. The main goal is for a nice street cruiser, running around 10-12 psi, pushing up to 20-22 at the track.
What are the thoughts of the turbo gurus here?

Have you seen vsracing new billet 7575? Might want to check it out.

But between the two I think the 7875 might be a little better and capable of more piwer

My 7875 lasted maybe 3k miles before the seals let go and half of those miles were just cruising. I wouldn't buy again.

which gt45? the std 69mm compressor appears runs out of flow at around 625whp which is plenty for me. at 5 psi it boils tire in any gear

I was looking at the standard GT45 on the site, 69mm. I wasn't aware that VS Racing carried any other versions.

neither did I until I went looking to upgrade mine. he's got a bunch of them. give him a call or email.

another thing to keep in mind is the 69mm gt45 is it's own animal. it differs quite a bit from the other gt45s in that it's 4-3/8th exducer outlet is unique, as well as the way the chra is attached to the turbine & compressor covers. nothing is swappable between it and other gt45s.

its a great piece for the money though. i mean it's $300 and makes more power than most street cars could ever use.

Was that with a oil restrictor? And the billet wheel version or cast wheel?
Just curious because I've been thinking about the billet version they just came out with.

The 77/83 looks like a good one to me but I haven't seen any results posted yet.

With the same oil restrictor I ran on a Precison T76GTS for YEARS without issue. Cast version.

I sold the precision and ended up going turbo again and the vs racing 7875 looked close enough at a glacne so I bought it and ran the same restrictor.

I've used the On3 88/83 and 78/75, Precision 7675, and Borg S480, none of them needed an oil restrictor. -4 feed, -10 drain never an issue.

GT45 will run out of steam, doubt you'd get to 22lbs with a healthy 5.3.

Looks like I'm going to go with the 7875, looks like the best match for me.

I was really close to going with the billet 7875 but I really want to make 800+ and I think it'll run out of steam just under 800. Thinking about his 8883 now, has to be T4 is my biggest issue.

Viren has stated the new billet 7875 will be good to 900-950 to the tire. It flows around 18% more than the cast version.

Here is what Viren sent me when I asked about the new billet 78/75 unit:

"wait about 2 weeks and get our new 7875 billet with the 11 blade unit. the
77/83 is nice turbo but the wheel on the compressor side can only support around 900 fly"

So they are claiming magic that the billet 7875 will outflow the PTE7675 with same size turbine? Personally I don't see 900 anything to the tire happening with a 75mm turbine unless its a manual car on a unicorn dyno.

900 fly wheel, not to the tire.
