Gen 4 4.8 turbo sizing
Looks like I found a good deal on 08 4.8l rather than a 5.3.
Thinking about a zr1 cam in it and a vs racing billet 7875?
Car is an auto 4l80e 99 camaro , 3.50 gears, 28" tires. Stock weight.
Just trying to figure out a good size turbo to really push this 4.8.
Also I would consider the cheap s475. Thoughts?

Need to decide what you are going to rev it to right off the bat. Then match the turbo/cam/intake/valve train to your RPM range.
If you keep the stock intake I’d go with a small cam and the smaller 78/75 turbo. JFR triple 12 is an awesome cam for a mild 4.8. Lots of low end and pulls clean to the factory intakes RPM limit. This will be the cheaper option and you can get by with factory valve train and mild single drop-in springs.
If you go with one of the larger LJMS cam’s… I’d want an aftermarket intake and decent valve train to take advantage of the higher RPM. The larger T6 S475 hot-side would work better on that setup. This part combo will be faster but more expensive…
