Thanks. It's a bit tough to do a direct comparison because the turbo setup was a 6 speed, although it was a 383 ci with a t76 turbo so it spooled pretty quick. The turbo setup "hit" harder when the turbo spooled up, but it's literally instant power on this setup. I also think this blower completely masks any of the "mushiness" that is typical of torque converters. My f13 cam is known for a really wide torque curve, so low end torque of the cam and blower are great and then above the converter stall speed the blower is already working and the cam really starts to wake up. I should be revving to 6500 but I want the stock 4l60e to live so i have it shiftig at 6k. I've got full torque reduction on on the shifts to help. It's also only at 5psi with 14 degrees of timing so it's not aggressive by any means and I just ordered a 4.0" pulley with should add another 3-5psi.

Cool build, good looking car-I miss my Prochargers, although I like the turbo now, but I miss that sound I was used to hearing, lol. Building a 70 shortbed stepside now, using a 5.3 with truck acces., my bud @ Procharger sent me some pics of the truck brackets for a Procharger, think I can make it work.

I got it from "just intercoolers" off ebay. Pretty sure cx racing makes it. Its a 31x12x3 and was super tough to find already black in that size and bar and plate, everything else was tube and fin.

If you haven't seen one of these yet I would invest in one. I've used it multiple times over the years, it's paid for itself for sure.

Was, but not anymore. I ended up putting in a bigger/more appropriate cam for my cylinder heads. Made 447 rwhp and 431 rwtq with a LS6 intake and unported TB. I have a ported FAST 90mm ready to go on now. Hoping to break 470 rwhp NA.

Ah cool, I must have missed that update. Im sure the ported 90 will let that motor breathe better and make some more power.

My belt was a half rib off at one point and I went to Fastenal and ordered a .050" shim. Had to shim the head unit pulley off just that much to get the belt straight. I also have had to shim the bottom stand off nut to J bracket to make the J bracket "square" to the engine block. Basically if I pull the crank pulley off the snout I'm getting my laser tool out and checking the alignment of pulleys. One of the best $100 I've spent on the blower setup. I feel it should be a option when you buy a Procharger kit.

I've been doing it by eye, but have a lazer pointer I was going to play with as a poor mans way to test. I am amazed at how everything needs to be shimmed differently for each car. I would hardly consider it just a bolt on kit with the amount of time involved to get it right.

That is a must have tool for procharger guys. It will literally make you look like a genius if you don't tell anyone you own it . It's one of those tools that is hidden in the back of the tool box for use when no one else is around. lol

When I got mine, I shopped around on amazon for the best price and then called Jegs and they matched it.

To add to my post above, that laser alignment tool comes with this stupid as **** piece of paper with a straight line on it so that you can calibrate it.

Step 1: Throw that **** in the trash.

Step 2: Go buy 2 cheap used alternator pulleys from your local alt shop. Make sure they are the same.

Step 3: Strap the tool to one pulley, then lay the pulleys down on a very flat surface. The further apart you can put them the better.

Step 4: Use the pulleys to adjust or dial in the laser.

Step 5: Make fun of people with serpentine belt issues on the their blower cars.

Step 6: Drink beer and reflect on how well your pulleys line up.

Thats pretty funny. I've got the 8 rib setup too which is supposed to help with belt slip....but I guess if the pulleys aren't lined up well enough it wont matter how many ribs I have
