Default Fuel Filter & Dual Pumps Manifold

Setting up a fuel system for my buddy's turbo Notch and need some recommendations. It will have a cell in the spare tire well and 2 AEM 380s under the car, pass-side of the well. Plenty of room for the pumps but when you add in pre-pump filters (street car) and a Y at the pump outlets, things get tight real fast. Looking for a recommendation on a good, compact (short) pre-pump filter and a dual-pump log manifold or a very compact Y setup for the outlets. I've seen the log manifolds on eBay but they all reference using the Bosch 044 check-valve fitting.

This is what I am referring to: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-044-High-...RXZPVb&vxp=mtr

Anyone using something like this or have an opinion?

Appreciate any feedback.

Believe the 044 check valves will thread into the AEM pumps. at $15 each that be something to look into.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Genuine-...NYm3ys&vxp=mtr

Then run one of these $20 twin pump adaptors.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Billet-Alumi...NXoAHl&vxp=mtr

For $22 shipped you can buy 2 of the bosch clones and get 2 pumps for $14 and rob the check valves off them.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Universa...3D161919515877

Or these that claim 300lph for a bit more.

The AEM 380s come with check valve fittings.

What's the verdict on those AEM pumps? They are suppose to be ethanol rated and flow more than the 044's right?

From the AEM site,

"For gasoline vehicles (pump life will be diminished when used with alcohol fuels)"

I've read the description. People are still using them with ethanol. I'm curious how it's working out for people.

They say will work with alcohol fuels but pump life is diminished.
Flow more than the 044 and share external dimensions.

Flows more than standard 400 lph Walbro pumps @ 58 PSI, and actually flows more than the big Walbro E85 450 lph pump above ~75 PSI.

Right, but the dual pump bars are setup for the 044 style check valves, not the ones AEM includes. So you'd need a set of 044 style check valves to run these bars. I was just mentioning you can get the whole pumps for not much more than the check valves alone.

Alsgoat was running a mild cammed 5.3 and 88/83 around 20lbs on 1 AEM380 before running out of fuel on 80's. So they seem to make pretty decent power. I've got one ready to go on my mustang. If I ever get the harness for it, I'll have better info.

I have one, haven't ran E85 through it, though. I might give that a shot this spring.

I've yet to see any negative feedback with them on E85.

I had never seen these Y blocks for $22. Might work with the supplied check valves too.

This is pretty cool compact package too.

Hopefully more people start running corn through them. I'd love to see the results. I had such shitty luck with the 44's

That tri pump picture makes me cringe lol. I hate seeing union fittings that T instead of Y. That fuel has to make 2 90* bends before it exits. I'm sure they work well but it just gets under my skin thinking about the pumps fighting each other.

See the surge tank setup using that fitting?

Comes with tank, Y fitting, and bracket to mount a pair of 044 pump for $90 shipped. Pretty good deal.

my aem 380 has been running on e85 for a year still works fine. has run 9.90 on one pump. deka 80s. good pump definitly flows more than my old 044 pump.

044 runs out at 14 psi boost on gas .

aem runs out at 13 psi boost on e85.

Intank or external? Are you flushing with 93 at all?

I don't know this first hand, but based on the spec sheets for this Bosch check valve and the AEM 380 pump, these will not work with the AEM Pumps.

The Bosch check valve works with a pump outlet of M12x1.5 and the AEM pumps have a -6 ORB fitting for the outlet.

That billet Y block is exactly what I am looking for but not sure if the 76mm between the 8AN centers match the dual pump brackets. Anyone know? Also want to find a US seller since I don't trust shipment from China being timely.

Any thoughts on compact, but not restrictive pre-pump filters.

Why are these blocks designed to use the check valves? Are they actually using the check valve or just because that's how the 044s are delivered?
