Default Project Twin Turbo begins today.

Well, I have almost everything I need to get started.

I have the Turbos 2 Garrett TO4B90's
I have the wastegate 46mm
I have the blow off valve 50mm
I have the tuning

I need injectors.

I need an intercooler! I want to have 2 2.5" inlets into a common tank, then a single 3" outlet on the other side to the MAF/TB. Anybody have any sugestions on where to get what I want?

BTW this is going on my tow rig. The 2500HD 6.0L, with the 9.4:1 CR it should like it.

My plan is to flip the exhaust manifolds. Then fab an adapter for the turbos. I am going to mount them turbine end forward and run the down pipes down in front of the engine. I am going to run a 2" cross-over/eqalizing pipe between the two manifolds. The wastegate will be mounted on the crossover. Still haven't figured out if I am going to plumb the wastegate back into the exhaust or not.

What do you guys think? Any pointers?

strange having a Hpipe before the turbos then connecting the waste gate to it.
is this just to save money so you dont have to buy another wastegate?
it would seem cheaper to buy to smaller gates like the deltagate then one big one with the h pipe.

Actually I was looking at the ballancing effect and figured it would be a good place to put the wastegate. And one big wastegate is less expensive and easier to plumb than two smaller ones.

E-bay is a great place when it comes to turbo parts! LOL.

You're going to have boost creep problems with a wastegate setup like that, I tried it on a car a while back and the results wern't stellar. You could take that 46 back and get a pair of 38's for the same price.

Why would he have boost creep? Do you think those 46's won't provide enough control?

Ryan, who's blow off valve is that?

He's saying he'll have issues running a single 46.

I have two 46mm that I am planning to use with my setup and thought Eviltwin was implying it would be a problem. I guess I missed that it was a single!

The reason I went with a single 46mm is that theQMP kits are only running a single 42mm. Figured one 46 would be enough.

It will probably depend on how much boost you are running. The higher the boost the smaller the wastgate can be. If possible you always want a nice smooth flow into the wastgate, not 2 90 degree turns. Before I started my turbo set up I read corky bells book. It a good book.
