Default Vortech Clockwise Rotation vs. CCW confirmation..

Are the following statements true when trying to understand the clock vs. counter clock definition?

When looking at the headunit in this position: Impeller at front and the discharge tube at the top:

Discharge Outlet pointing to Right = Clockwise rotation
Discharge Outlet pointing Left = Counter-Clockwise rotation?

The F-Body V9 G-Trim is a clockwise setup?

TIA!

Thx.

I need to call them tomorrow for a couple other things too.

Trying to sell my S-Trim to a Lightning guy when I buy my T-Trim, but am not sure they rotate the same direction. I think they are opposite.

I thought that you were going to have Vortech rebuild your SQ S-Trim into a SQ T-Trim?

Mmm, I don't want 3 weeks downtime.

So I'm going to buy a new V2 SQ S-Trim, send it in for the T-Trim V2 SQ upgrade then sell my other S-Trim and just swap them immediately.

Vortech is being kinda dumb in not selling me a V2 SQ T-Trim outright. Also you can purchase the headunits at lower price elsewhere. Also the Lightning guy was interested, so it kinda worked out.

But I think our head units rotate in opposite directions.

Well just ask John or call them quick, easy to do.

So they only sell the regular T-Trim outright?

Ya, just been crazy bz here.
Finally got all of my belt/pulley issues ironed out.

Just some weird politikal thing.
They will sell a V2 SQ S-Trim outright, or a V1 T-Trim outright but won't let you order for a V2 T-Trim Hyrbid outright. You have to send them one to 'upgrade'.

S-Trim to T-Trim upgrade was $900 or so I believe. Actually worked out a nice deal with Vortech on the upgrade as a direct swap. Just need to find a home for my S-Trim in about 3 weeks.

My above guess about rotation was correct.

If the gears face the engine and the impeller faces the nose, you have a CCW blower.

The gears face the nose and impeller inlet faces the engine, you have clockwise.

At least for clockwise rotating engines like GM/Ford (all?).
The direction the output tube points when looking at it face on into the impeller shows you which direction the SC rotates. Pointing Left = CCW, Right = Clockwise.

So, I can't sell it to the Lightning guy.
Will find a home somewhere.

Will sell fast for $1000 if anyone is interested, please PM.
Very low mileage. 200 miles. Had 1 external cross thread issue that was fixed with a helicoil and is a minor defect (external bolt hole). Everything else is perfect. S-Trim is polished.

May also want to note whether it's the curved or straight discharge style.

I called Vortech about the upgrading my V2 SQ S trim to the T trim hybrid and they said it couldnt be done . They said all that they could do is give me a credit towards a T trim. They said it would fit, but Id need a new inlet to the blower since the intake is bigger.

I haven't called yet to get mine done but I know for a fact that Vortech will do it. A friend of mine just had it done to his and got it back from Vortech last week.

When you speak with him next could you ask who he spoke with?? Im pretty sure the V2 S trim for the trucks and cars are the exact same. Also I asked what type of upgraded bypass valve I would need and he said that the race version would be best, but I would need a new flange. Isnt the flange just for the aftercooler??? My bypass valve doesnt mount to anything. He also said 2-3# per pulley down sizing. That sounds like alot to me. I see 7# with a 3.33 and I have a 3.12 that is going on.
Lots of questions. Sorry to hijack

Well answer in more detail in a bit.

Ask for Jamie in Tech, he is the Tech Manager.
Doing the S-Trim to T-Trim upgrade uses your existing gears and replaces the Volute and Impeller.

Cost should be about $950 for the S-Trim to T-Trim Upgrade (Not G-Trim, sorr).
