Default Intercooling a Powerdyne Blower

Hey, I have a powerdyne supercharger on my 94 LT1 and i'm going to be intercooling it this summer. I'm most likely going to use a universal 2-core Procharger intercooler with 3 inch inlet/outlet(much like the one that comes with the 600B supercharger kit). Does anyone have any suggestions as to how i should set this up(where should i mount it, tips on how to fab up the intercooler piping and what not). I'm new to this and i've never done anything like this before so any input will be much appreciated.

Here is my old old site from the time I had a Powerdyne on my ride, I intercooled it with ATI twins, I have a few pics on there on how I did it. Not much help but
I did manage to get 428/461 out of my powerdyne back then....was pretty impressive back then.

So you used the Procharge twin high flow intercooler kit? How did you get the 2.75 inch piping(or whatever size it was) to fit the 3 inch outlet on the powerdyne blower?

u can just use a reducer coupler.
if you are looking for some ATI twins and pipes let me know.
my buddy has some for sale and it's setup to work with the powerdyne with minimal effort.

What did you have to change to get it to hook up to your powerdyne head unit? And looking at your site i'm guessing you lost about a pound of boost through the intercooler?

Yep I lost a pound of boost to the twins. The LT1 ATI twin kit is very similar to the LS1 kit. As for hooking it up, I used the PD coupler that was from the kit..it all hooked up very well. It was as simple as it could get. I might've clocked the scroll on the PD headunit to face the way it does in the ATI ypipe routing pic...look at that one. You can see what is facing where. The ATI y pipe is dual 2.5 inches. I lost a pound of boost, but gained HP/TQ so...its a good trade off I think, plus my cars tendency to detonate on hot days really disappeared after the intercoolers went on, which is also another plus. If you pulley the PD down got to a 2.90 pulley as the 2.70 that I had was to severe and kept breaking belts.

I had the same problem as Frcefed98.I milled down my 6lb pulley to make 8lb and kept breaking belts. So I put a 6lb pulley with methanol injection instead of an intercooler on and made 460/460 with ls1 edit.I still broke belts and Powerdyne said that the blower is only good for around 450 horse.

the pulley he had that kept breaking belts was a 12 pound, 2.70 = 12 pounds, 2.90 = 9 pounds. Maybe it was the way you milled it?
