Default Help With Methanol

Ok I've got a 2001 Trans Am bone stock with the exception of an STS remote turbo. I'm planning on installing a boost controller with methanol injection. I'm hoping to run around 9psi (give or take a few pounds). My question is how much methanol and water do I have to mix to keep from being lean in the A.F.R. I seen somewhere (Snow Performance I think) that you can use washer fluid as long as it contains methanol. Can I use fuel line antifreeze if it has methanol in it? Methanol isn't easy to get where I live.

I dont believe there is many places anywhere in USA to get meth. BUT its twin brother denaturated alcohol is available at ANY hardware store or home depot like place. They arent EXACT twins but they are 1 in the same for 99% of things. The water isnt to help with the lean or rich issue it is there to help cool the intake charge. The alcohol/meth are what changes your lean/rich issue, and also allows you to run alot mroe timing. GL man

Just use windshield washer fluid. Typically contains about 30% meth if I remember correctly.

The lower the temp rating on the washer fluid, the more meth it has. I think -20` is a 50/50 mix IIRC. They all should say the percentage somewhere on the bottle.

I bought a jug of Peak washer/deicer that's good to -30 ands has methyl alcahol and see how it works. I may change to gas line antifreeze.

Default meth

You should choose one thing that is consistent and tune for it, and never deter from it, unless you can tune yourself. I use straight meth, i would not waste my time with water, its not fuel and meth cools very well. Why go to the trouble of it all and not get all the bang you can. Its easy to find, just call vp racing fuels.

-20* blue washer fluid is typically 20% meth.

The Prestone De-Icer (yellow in color) washer fluid is 50% and works decent.

100% meth is the way to go if you can get it.
