what is the best ratio of xylene to gas to use??
are there any bad side effects to using this stuff??

I've used both xylene and toluene, up to about 35% ratio.

No side effects i've encountered, other than really freaking out the paint store staff when you tell them why you're buying 5 gallon cans of xylene every 2 days <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">

Harlan that stuff is way cheaper from a local oil/chemical supply house....like 2.80 a gallon vs 6.oo a gallon
