Default help, to cam or not to cam

i am geting ready to swap a 6.0 into my 1/2ton truck, right now i have just a whipple super charger on the 5.3, it came with a 160stat and a k&N.

i am going to put a yank truck thruster 3000 and some ASM headers on at the same time and have ls1edit ordered as well. i think i will be around 400rwhp once the bugs are all worked out. i am thinking that next year maybe go with heads and cam on top of everything else. my questions is am i wasting a bunch of realitivey cheep HP by not doing the cam now? it would be easy to throw in and cost what? about $400? how much hp might a cam give me? will a cam kill my mileage? will a cam kill my low end?

Sounds like you have a deep pocketbook, so you might as well do a cam. You should send the heads off now too, it will save you time later. Dont forget about transmission and gearing.
