More Boost + Less Timing = More HP??
I've heard people mention before that by lowering timing and increasing boost ( to a point ) you'll get more power. Is this the case? What is the lowest advance ( assuming no KR ) you want to have?
For example, I just did a base tune on my car with LS1-Edit. I have 22 degrees plugged in for .6gm/cyl and up, from 2200rpm to redline. I'm getting no KR, this is at 5psi. I increased that to 24, still no KR. Will I get more power by increasing boost rather than timing? I'm thinking yes . . . is there a general # of how many degrees of timing you want to pull to up boost 1psi? Just trying to figure out this tuning game . . .

Re: More Boost + Less Timing = More HP??
I would say it would help for mph. Et probably not. My car loves only seeing 14 degrees at wot (hAve to fix that). Its soft off the line but really flys on the top end. I think when Harlens car was stock(you know what I mean) he had his set at 22 max up high. Not sure though. Only thing I dont get why dont you what the same timeing at peak torque?
