I ordered these from a place Formulation(dave) recommended. They are very reasonable price wise and will get you what you need. Call 1-800-456-0211 they hook you up.

P/N 12569365, straight off my spare set <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Same gasket for both sides, the above is one gasket.

The bore on the gasket is 4.040", you really want them w/ the 6.0 heads to keep the gasket outta the combustion chamber.

I'm pretty sure compressed thickness is 3mm, but i can verify at work tomorrow.

Thanks Matt.
One more thing though, shouldnt i just get the 4.00" bore gaskets since thats the size of the heads and my engine bore is only 3.905?
Im sure you know best, just curious.

Heres the run down on why i dont like the cometics

There just not worth it. I bought the Hp series gasets which were the top of the line made for boost blah blah.

well the problem started when they were put on. they leaked like crazy, coolant just drained right out. found out you have to put them on with out the "sliding" alot of people have had this problem.

Well later i noticed them wheeping on the passenger side. it was real evident when Reckless and i changed the intake.

Then yesterday i went to go check the progress of my car for getting the clutch fixed, and while it was up in the air i noticed alot of wheeping took place on the driver side head.

I dont think ill have enough time to get them changed before norwalk, so after norwalk im gonna throw the GM mls gaskets on. just plan to torque them down alittle more before i go.

BTW if any one wants to purchasse my old cometic gaskets to see if they have better luck with them i'll sell them to you cheap.

DOH,

yeah sorry. 1.3mm compressed <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> not 3 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

my spare set, as in i picked up 4 gaskets last time i went to get parts. Always good to have some on hand, ya never know <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

They are for a 4" bore. There's usually a bit of a relief on the gasket bore compared to the cylinder bore. Don't want the fire ring hanging into the combustion chamber.

Thanks Matt.
also do you know if they have a 1.5mm gasket

the 1.3 would raise my CR .1 points, go to keep it low to run that boost.

thanks for the offer 2001ws6vert, but i need 6.0 gaskets.

they are production gaskets, you don't get a choice <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

and i doubled checked, 1.33mm compressed. Like that makes much of a difference <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

.1 CR increase ain't gonna kill ya. Would you prefer the same CR or a non-leaky gasket??

Hey smokinHawk, Just wondering how you keep your torque# almost even with your hp#'s. I've seen other cars making 100-150 more RWTQ, only reason im asking, is with that much more RWTQ, means a lot more things breaking, let me know. Thanks

Just the way it was tuned. I had more going through the tuning stages like 570 somthing, but came down to this.

Nbm00ws6 has alot of torque from a torque robbing supercharger somthing like 545/650ish out of a 348. cant figure that one out.

i hope to be 600+/600+ at the end of the month
oh all on pump gas too.
