Default Opinion on D1SC headers...BEST????

I need some opinions or actual results of the best headers for a D1SC procharger kit. I know I need to let my engine breath better but I just need to get some opinions on headers, thanks.

I have been using Hooker LTH/Hooker ORY for over a year with no issues. They helped me get 518 rwhp when I was running a 3.4 pulley.

I like the LG headers. I have the original "race" LTs before the "street" ones came out. The make good power so I'm happy.

Kooks, QTP, Hooker, Whatever for the most part.

It only really matters for the type of material used, fitment, and sizes. Some vendors offer a type of header others don't.

For example here: Kooks has a stepped header. The only other vendor that has a stepped (that I know of off hand now) is Edelbrock. QTP offers a Merge collector on their headers.

I'd look into opinions 1st on header size, and then go browse the external section. There are TONS of threads about this exact question I bet. Seen it asked over and over again.

I'm not ******* on you or anything like that, I just want you to be aware of that there are different headers that will fit what you are looking for.

For you car, we would need to know what your total power is, what RPM's you plan on turning overall, and when you want the power to happen. Then we also need to know what size engine this is. That is information that determines the characteristics of the engine combination.

Most of the headers are good,we prefer Kook 1 7/8's or stepped headers though. The only header's (longtube) that we've seen hurt power was SLP's.Not saying there junk, just we gained alot going to another header on a 550rwhp car.

I agree. I am sure if we swap out the SLP headers on the 717rwhp + Trans-Am that is one of my customer's cars, to a set of Kooks, the car would pick up some more power. Bob
