Default what procharger do i need?

for a 402 c.i. LS2, 9.1 comp ratio im my trans am, what procharger model do i need? do i need an F-1, F-1R? or do ya think i can get away with a D-1SC?
it looks like the d-1sc will maybe just do it..(925hp) but i didnt want to over work it. the F-1 has a higher internal step up...5.4-1 as opposed to the 4.1-1 that the D-1SC has. this obviously means more hp to turn the bigger blower. F*#@$^&*%$$CK! anyone have a similar setup?
i would like to see 700-800 rwhp. dunno if i'll get it but...

I'd go with the F1 for your 402. Bob

The higher internal stepup means that for any given airflow your blower pulley will be larger allowing for more belt wrap and less of a tendency to slip. The blower will be a bit noisier than the D1SC due to the transmission and impeller design. The F1 includes ATI's heavy duty compound bearing assembly and will be happy being driven hard.

Thumbs up

One the bigger cubes you will be running I would opt for the F1 or F1R to get the most out of your engine. I like my DS1C blower and it makes the power you are looking for so you should be over 800 with a better blower and make sure you install an alky setup as they work fantastic on our LS based motors

F1 is the way to go.Only do a F1R if it is a race car due to the higher intake temps. With the right combo you can run 800rwhp with NO ALKY. With an F1 you might want to consider moving the radiators forward to give a better inlet into the blower since the stock hat will kill the setup.

thanks guys. yea i have seen that guys do move up the radiator with f-1s. i'll put a normal 90* elbow on it for the inlet for sure.
