Default pressure drop.

to determine how well my intercooler is working, how much of a pressure drop should i see.

seeing how most systems are producing 500 to 600 hp some much higher.
lets start with a intercooler core of 24" X 12" X 3". over all length 31.5 X 12 X 3.
3" in and 3" out bar and plate design, rated for 600hp motors with good air flow through the core for cooling.
base boost psi before the intercooler install 9psi.
how much of a drop in pressure should i see after the install of the intercooler?

I wouldn't want more than 1.5psi drop.... o.5 to 1.0 is my personal target.

Are your IC hot air channels 24" long (oriented horizontally) or 12" long ones (oriented vertically)? If they were 12" long you would have a lot more channels - more total internal flow area - and a lower pressure drop and/or a substantially higher effectiveness at the same cooling air flow.
