I was on BDS website and they have a kit for a 871 on a LS1. I have a brand new 871 in the box for my brand new unassembled 383 stroker for my third gen. I was thinking that if I can just get a different intake to make it fit the LS1 maybe I should sell my stroker and buy a 402 and smack a 871 on it. I'm waiting for BDS to respone to my e-mail to see if it can be done.

it would look killer. but, you would have to notch the windshield and cowl to clear it. I saw a pro street 93 trans am with a big roots huffer on it awhile back.

Yes, with a 3rd gen I think the only thing you would have to cut would be the hood.

Intimidation factor to Level Max, lol.

Oddly enough though when I see one I tihnk more along the lines of a heavy-metal video rather than a faaast hotrod. Unless its mounted on a top fuel or pro mod, lol.

I guess its from seeing so many on streetrods, sitting still collecting wax.

I thought you were talking about a 4th gen. it will fit in a 3rd gen with no problems.
