Default new pics of twin turbo setup

here are some updated pics of my new setup, almost done, just have to do the cold side from FMIC to TB, and then mount the wastegates, everything else is pretty much done. ...i also made a new lower radiator/FMIC mount, which is completely bolt in so it can be removed out the bottom with the radiator, it bolts the the frame rail with 2 bolts/side, and the two bolts to the bottom of the hood latch, also bolts to the bottom of the intercooler, and the FMIC acutally is somewhat structural since the top of it is bolted to the headlight brackets

master power T-70's, headers will be coated, downpipes wrapped, and plugs will require removal of turbos and downpipes, but the headers can stay on, not that big a deal really

ported lt1 intake, just powdercoated, dual intank walbros, -10 feed line, -6 return line.

no wideband yet, just narrowband on my megasquirt II engine managment computer.

goals = first 6 speed in the 8's

BTW, whats wrong with master power turbos?

HAHA your thinking of XS-POWER turbos, these are not the same thing, master power has been in business for a very long time, Jose at forced inductions.com recomended and sold me these turbos, about $650 a pop

T4 inlet flange, 2.5 from compressor into that 3 inch y pipe in/out of intercooler, 3 inch all the way to TB, 3 inch downpipes as well

You setup looks nice. I'm glad to see a six speed with track goals. Most guys ususally go with an auto to set records and what not. Good luck with your goal!

master power's are well made turbos, Jose said hes never had problems with them. They actually sell them as an upgrade turbo for the PTK kits, oil feed is -4an, and 1/2 inch return hose.

14 psi right now on pump gas, somewhere around 20-22 PSI on C16

As stated by Will, there is nothing wrong with Master power turbos. They work great and are very good on the wallet!! I've run two different MP T-70's on two different set-ups with no problems what-so-ever!!!

Very nice set-up!!! Good luck getting into the 8's! It should make enough power.

Later,
Dave

XSPOWER as using the masterpower name illegally on the compressor housing before... no they say xspower.

The real Masterpower turbos are good low $ units.

Nice looking setup.

I have a couple questions for you... What size turbine a/r did you get? What are you expecting to see for lag and spool time? Tango has me thinking about using these turbos for my 427 project. Also, how long did it take to get the turbos from the time you ordered them? What about the collectors and flanges, where did you get them?

Nice fab work bro. 8's? Wow, that would be impressive with a M6!

BTW, you might want to consider relocating the air filters to the other side of the radiator if you have the room... they're going to be breathing hot air where they're sitting now.

Good catch! I would defintely put a 90 degree elbow and aim the filters down toard the ground. Keep them low enough to pull cool air for when your moving.

someone else on here had twin t-70's on a 346ci ls1, i think the lag was about the same as all the twin 61 cars. .70A/R, just like it came from forced inductions. took about 2months if i remember correctly to get them, they were backordered. collectors came from performancewelding out in cali, all flanges from sandy engineering in orlando...off ebay.

i appreciate all the kind words, and i'll relocate those filters some day, right now i just want to get it back on the road, but you are right, thats gonna be pretty hot air right there...
