Default Can it be done?

Looking to make 650+rwhp. Thinking ahead to the future as of right now a sponsor is installing the finishing touches on my head and cam setup. However i know i will want more horsepower. Anyways with that out of the way thinking of this set up.Stock cubic inches,afr205's 66 cc(already have on car currently, cam around 230/236, already have lt headers, fast 90/90,fuel rails. Looking to run a d1sc with front mount intercooler. Will this setup meet my horsepower goals? Already have 9" and suspension work done. Thanks guys

also forgot to mention that forged rods and pistons would be installed. That brings up another question how much would my pistons have to be dished to get the compression ratio done to where it needs to be?

Hi Chris, 650+ rwhp can be had with your combination, with the addition of rods and pistons. Brent can tell you what piston dish you will need when you pick up your car. Bob

From what I understand EPP knows their stuff and they're great to deal with. Plus they're hard to beat in terms of pricing (from what I've seen). I think 650rwhp would be pretty easy. Couldn't 700rwhp be had?

Thanks! With enough boost, it certainly can. We made 790 rwhp (actually more than that, but the tires would break loose on the dyno every run) with a twin turbo Corvette using the stock crank in a 346 ci, so it can be done. Bob

In my opinion to achieve the power level that you'd like, you'll need to invest in a stout shortblock and a good set of heads. Remember cylinder heads are key for making power, it's obtainable too reach your power level with less than 15psi.

Sounds very doable, keep the compression low if you want do that on 93 pump gas.

I'd keep the compression ratio in the 9.0/1 to 9.5/1 range. Bob

Done 630rwhp on a mustang dyno with stock bottom end, stock heads, stock Twin ATI intercooler and only a cam. We ran 13lbs of boost to get there and still have another 13000 RPM left on the blower. So with your setup u should easily pass the 650rwhp.
