Default turbo question or 2

i've got a 99 t/a heads and cam.
if i went with a sts system, would i have to get rid of my headers, heads, or cam 224/224?

bottom end is still stock, would that also have to be changed to a forged set up?

i've never seen the sts kit someone should link me, i hear its a rear mount but i could be wrong.

if its rear mount you can keep your heads and headers not a prob.

you can run boost on the stock bottom end but you A: can't run alot and B: if you don't take care of everything and do it properly it won't last long

STS is a rear mount kit. Heads and headers should be fine unless you are running high compression heads, not too sure about the cam though someone else will have to chime in on that. Really anything over 500 rwhp should start to consider a forged bottom end although there are people on the board making more than that with no problems yet. Another thing would be to make sure to have plenty of fuel for that I.E. Walbro 255 and some Motron 60# injectors.

I don't have heads, but have the cam and longtubes. What lsa is your cam? The bigger the better I've heard with FI. I haven't gotten tuned yet, so I don't know my final numbers, but it is a hoot to drive.
