Anyone running mac's with a procharger? or USED to at that?
I was just wondering if anyone USED to run mac mid headers on ther Forced inducion car? If you USED to, did you ever buy LONG TUBES and if so did you notice a HUGE difference in HP or TQ? I am wondering if i should even spend the grand on long tubes if i already have mac's. ANY INFO WOULD BE WONDERFUL
Thanks SOOOO much

I had MACs on my old 2000ss with a P1SC and switched from MACs to FLP headers. Picked up nothing at the track (ran 10.90s @ 125 or so with either header), main reason I did it was so i could run cats when I street drove it and easily switch them out..
Also my old P1SC 2000z28 had JBA shorties and I switched to MACs and picked up nearly 50rwhp
I wouldnt be in a huge hurry to replace them.

Arent the Mac Mids CARB cert? Hmmmmm.... if so I may be going that route. I hate to step backwards but with so many friends getting popped by the fuzz lately it may be worth the piece of mind.
(I know Id need to have cats on it to be legal but a hollowed cat is a cat to a cop )

I've run them since the beginning, and bought them from a guy (stealth2) who ran them on his 9 second Procharged car.
I don't see a huge difference between these and LTs, it's only like a 8" difference at the collector.

I had good results with my mid length MACs.
435RWHP and 433RWTQ on a bone stock 98 motor with a powerdyne blower and 6#'s of boost.
Car went 11.40s@124mph full weight through the full exhaust. I wouldn't bother switching them, they are a good header.
Cheers,
Chris

awesome!
Hey nick, they are not legal for cali BUT it is easier to get away with them since they are mids and all LOL. I am making some custom made "heat shields" so they dont go snoopen TOO far HEHE

Got MAC's right now on my procharged Z. I put down 460/440 through an A4 with them. I really dont have any complaints about them. I have never scrapped them on bumps with my car lowered. I hit the Spohn TA before hitting the exhaust.
