MAFless Procharger question
Has anyone out there started running their Procharger setup without a MAF (Speed Density)? If so, I'm looking for a replacement coupler from the plenum where the IC tubing comes in to the TB, since right now it's in two pieces with a MAF as the connector. I will be running SD sometime this week when my HPT file comes back.
The reason is obvious, due to the oval shape of the plenum output to the circle shape of the TB input. Pics would be appreciated as well.
Thanks

Jonathan, you're not keeping tabs around here. Yes, my SD tune is coming along quite well and there's several other '98 FI cars running around with SD.
Now back to the question at hand, the coupler

No, because when I resell it to go turbo, it won't be of use to anyone unless they too run SD.
It's weird because of the neoprene couple from the plenum to MAF, the rubber from MAF to TB. I'd figured someone on here was running similar, since this isn't limited to just '98s.

Hi smokin, 2 bar SD tune here on a 98 No maft pro( although it will be on the car once Harlan gets done tuning kyles) no HPT 2/3bar OS. But it runs just fine with a 2 bar map sensor thrown in and some tweaking to a few tables to get it to run...its pretty nice.
Dark Formula, I second what Master KP said, just plug in a piece of 3.5 inch SS/aluminum/mild/aluminized tubing where the MAF goes. Cheap and easy to do and it will keep the resale value up.
