Default FI Fuel Economy

I was just wondering what kind of gas mileage you force induction people are getting? not that it's a huge deal because a FI f-body isn't exactly a dailey driver econ-o-box...but as of right now with my moderate sized cam and low compression heads...i'm still getting about 18 city. i know that with some forced air and large injectors you can kiss that number good-bye lol...

just wondering what kindof gas mileage to expect with some 60# injectors and forced induction?

(i'm not worried...just curious?)

I would say its not gonna matter, if you can afford FI you can afford a nice daily driver lol. Sorry Matt but the mpg is the least of my concerns I just wanna be faster than most guys around here.

Drove the car directly from GMR in cleveland, OH to oxford MS....13hrs. running 725rwhp...got 26mpg. Now with the foot on the floor it's a different story.....more like gallons per mile. LOL

I have a truck rather than a f-body. With the forged motor and 12 lbs of boost I get the same mileage I got when the truck was bone stock. 15 mpg around town and 18 mpg on the highway. It is in the 600 rwhp according to weight and trap speed calculations.

Most people don't see a reduction in gas mileage at part throttle with forced induction. The injectors pulse width is reduced for part throttle thru tuning, meaning you're not dumping excess fuel into the engine. We recently installed an ATI ProCharger D-1SC in a customer's 192,000 mile 1994 Corvette. The customer claimed he picked up 6 miles to a gallon after the install. The only way that I see this being possible is the LT1 engines tunes weren't that good from the factory. Bob
