Default A4 D1SC Done !!

Well, it's finally done. I was debating going to ls1speed or epp, but, either one would be at least a 16hr round trip for me. Since I'm not mechanically inclined, if something went wrong, it wouldn't be like I could tow it back to get fixed. So, I went with a local shop, MC Racing and I am very happy with their work. Here are the main things done...

D1SC and SDCE tensioner
Procharger inline fuel pump and 65# injectors
Katech rod bolts
Vortec mondo bypass
Random Tech 7000 Metal Matrix cats
TEA 5.7 Stage II O-ringed blower heads (used)
Comp 222/222 114 cam.

Before I had higher compression TEA 1.5 heads with the same 222 cam and dyno'd 366rwhp. After the blower, it dyno'd 505rwhp and 459rwtq unlocked at 8-9lbs . I know everyone will say that's low for a h/c blown car, but I'm not forged yet so I didn't push my luck. Before the 4.25" pulley, they tuned it with the 4" pulley, but stopped at 5700rpms as it was at 11.5lbs of boost and 529rwhp.

So far, I'm really happy with it. Not too bad for an automatic (SY3500 stall), through cat convertors/hooker catback and 91octane.

I'm hoping I can have a little more fun with it before my tranny or motor blows.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for answering my pm's.

Gary

Wow, that's pushing it on 91 octane. I wouldn't of went through the trouble of installing rod bolts if you were planning on a new shortblock soon. Nice numbers nonetheless.

500rw on stock pistons will last a while, as long as you know any detonation at all at that power level will break a piston.

Congrats and have fun with it.

Hopefully they gave you a fat tune. I would shoot for 11.3/1 to 11.5/1 at wide open throttle. Now for finding some traction... Bob

Thanks guys.

I'm still pretty pumped about it.

They did give me right around 11.5 on the tune, but I am well aware that anything can still happen.

My tires were pretty bald before the blower install, but now they're getting really bad. Even at a 55mph roll if I punch it the car gets sideways, which is pretty scary. Losing control at that speed would not be good. I need to re-learn how to drive this thing before I kill myself.

Good #'s man. My new setup will be done at the end of the month, which is real similar to yours. I will be running the MMS crank pulley and a 4.0" pulley as well. I'm hoping to see around 12lbs.

Were those #'s on a Mustang dyno?

Hey thanks. My numbers were on a dynojet. Good luck with your setup.
