Default What to add with Blower?

01 ws6 Procharged, long tubes, ORP, Flowmaster, Spec 3, Built T-56

I just took my car out a couple of days ago and I'm already tried of the belt slip with the famous 6-rib set-up..I'm going to Purchase SDCE 8 rib Set-up and I don't know what to do:

1. Run about 10-12 pounds with Meth

2. Blower cam with 8-10 pounds

3. Something Else?

Have all stock internals...42lbs injectors

My car with 8lbs put down 480rwhp 450TQ......My goal is to me somewhere around 550wrhp 500ish TQ....Still want to keep it Reliable as possiable..Pretty much a street car that see very little track..Just want to step it up a little..Any advice when be appreicated...

Thanks,
Brandon

Are you running an intercooler? Stock cam and springs right now?

Wouldn't doubt with the adddition of the SDCE set up that you'd be at or close to your HP/TQ goal just from the lack of belt slip.
So if you are currently at 480/450 with the six rib pushing 8psi, then go with a 4.0 pulley or 3.7 with the SDCE set up and you'll be at your target pretty easily.

No reason to add a cam when a pulley can do the work for you.

I'm with him on this one. A simple pulley swap along with the 8rib upgrade should get you within range of your power goal, and if it is not enough make the decision from there whether you want to add methanol or a blower cam. I started with 8.5psi and a blower cam and made 550rwhp... added meth with a pulley swap and made over 620rwhp and then backed it down to the 603rwhp tune to be a little more safe and conservative!

I guess I am saying swap the 8rib in and get a smaller pulley, then see where your at and make a decsion from there! I would hate to see you buy something you don't need to achieve your goal!

Ya its all stock internals right now with the stock twin intercooler..Just the basics

Well I got a hold of sdce and they won't be able to get me the set-up for 3-4 weeks cause they have to order some parts to go with there set-up..

Well I appriecate the info and guess I'll go with 8 rib in the next month or two and try 9-10lbs and see what I get out of that..

I'd get new valve springs, high-flow cat-cack, bigger airfilter, maybe ditch the inlet hat & use a 90. Those things should help.

Go for 10-11psi with SDCE setup. We have tried 13psi so far with no problem and might push it to 15psi on a stock bottom end. The car is running stock heads, TB, LS6 manifold etc... Its also pushing this power through 12 bolt with 3.73 gear and steel drive shaft moving 17x11's wheels. A cam would pick up another 40-50rwhp for you at the same amount of boost now which is another option you can do.
