I'm getting ready to install the Phamspeed budget kit with Edelbrock shorty headers and the turbo that I'm going to run has a 5" Vband exhaust housing. The downpipe that comes with the kit is only 3". I'm worried about ground clearence with anything over 3". If I modify the downpipe that came with the kit to exit the turbo at 5", then make an elbow that went to 4", then under the K-member to 3" would that be alright or would that choke down the exhaust and cause too much backpressure? For everyone that runs the Phamspeed budget kit, what size downpipe are you using and how is ground clearence?
