People that have installed Victor Jr Intake....
I am in the process of installing a few goodies including a Victor Jr intake, but having a hard time getting hte injectors to pop into their bungs.... I am using hte Speed Inc rails I already had installed since they are bigger then the edelbrock pieces that come with it.... Is the angle of the bungs different enough where the speed inc rails will not work? or do you have to use a smaller injector o-ring? What have you guys done for throttle cable brackets?
I'll probably be fabricating something today....
thanks,

very interested in answers too as I am ordering the intake for a twin project.
Tiago, where did you get your intake? Summit has them for $399 with rails, but I have found the complete set up for $750.00

I used Aaron's Elbow Too... had to cut out some of the Cowl but not a big deal...
I have a couple of other issues still.
The throttle body flange on the elbow doesn't seem to be flat? look at the pictures attached.
I compared the Speed Inc rails to the Edelbrocks and the angle of the injectors are the same, so wtf they wont stab in I don't know, stuck there
I will make custom brackets for teh rails if neeedd be.

I don't know what to tell you about the injectors. I'm running a Victor Jr. with the Edelbrock rails. I think that the first time I put it all together I stabbed the injectors into the intake first, then installed the rails. Everytime since I pulled the injectors with the rail's. I'm running the Ford 42# injectors.

If I'm not mistaken, I thought I heard someone say with that intake, you have to use their, Edelbrocks, fuel rails.....but I'm not positive.
For a cable, I was going to try and use one of the Lokar's. They make one.

I saw a couple of other elbows that Aaron had made this morning at Conley's shop, they all had the same problem with the TB flange... I hpoe a gasket will absorb the discrepancy in the flange.
Injectors still wont stab in... The speed inc rails are exactly the same design/angle as the edelbrocks, no reason why it woudln't fit ..

I had one of Aarons elbos too and the flange to the intake base was not flat .Some silicon fixed it. I drilled and tapped the elbow for the stock cable bracket. I used modified stock rails with stand offs welded to the intake with no problems, Except they looked like ****. Edlebrock at the time didnt make the rails yet. Hope that helps.

i stayed with the edelbrock rails cause they were like 1/3 the price of others. My injectors were very tight to put in also. I had the intake on the floor while putting all my weight on them to get them in and put the bolts in, putting them on in the car would sure be a trick.

Aluminum warps like a **** when it is welded. Slowhawk is right, tighten up the 4 lower studs first.
I now have some thick steel backer plates to bolt to the throttle body and base flanges, so warping will be minimal.

The injector's are hard to get in there,We just lube them up good then push hard while wiggling the rail/injector setup. They will click in.

that was my plan, I will need a 1/16" thick gasket at least. I finally got the injectors to seat and mounted the rails with custom brackets, I had almost all of my weight on top of the rails to get them to pop in
I hope I don't have to take them off any time soon

You could also just mill the face after welding to help it square up again.
If the TB surface is warped... how about the flange that attaches to the intake?
