Default 6.0 gasket question

Since I will be using a 6.0 head, I must order a head gasket for the 6.0 head, right? Is there a difference between years? What truck should I say that the heads came out of? Whats the thickest gasket that I can use without affecting the quench too much? I want it to lower the compression as much as possible without affecting the quench. And..should I go with cometics?
thanks

if you go with the stock GMs (for 6.0l mls) they only come in one thickness. i think the mls ones are 2002+
cometics you can get in different thicknesses. .054-.125
the GMs are cheaper and just as good, if not better, but if you want different thicknesses to lower the CR youll have to go with the cometics,
i got .067" which is as thick as i would go, but thats just for my setup.

Thanks for your response. If I went with a .067 gasket, how much more would that lower my compression compared to a stock MLS gasket? thanks

One last question, if you don't mind. What bore should I get it for? I think I will order the .067 Cometic. That combined with a 71.cc head should put me under 9.1:1 compression.
thanks

if your getting 6.0 heads, use a 4.0" bore gasket, otherwise thell leak.
