Default 408 & TTI Street kit HP estimate

Anyone running a 408 and a TTI Street kit? How much power are you making? How much HP do you think I will make with AFR 225s, FAST 90 intake ported by Tony Mamo with AFR, 90 MM FAST throttle body, custom comp cam, dual welbros, etc?

Thanks!!

What is your CR? How much boost do you plan to run?

With turbo kits you pretty much set what power you want to make, long as your compression, fuel and turbocharger allow it.

What turbo will your kit come with? I'm sure you have a few different options.

If your getting a 408 built I will suggest 8.0:1 - 8.5:1CR for a turbo setup, you should be able to run quite a bit of boost on pump gas

Yeah but he has the race kit, not the street kit. RyanK has the street setup though...

no way I would run that street kit on a 408 seems like it would be backpressure like crazy

Wow a 408 with big heads through an on-center turbo and single log.....that is going to be tough to tune and keep from blowing gaskets.

Opps, sorry I didn't include the necessary information. Turbo is a T-76, 8-10 lbs of boost. Tranny is a built 4L80E and moser 12 bolt w/ 3.42s.

The engine is a forged 408 outlaw iron block from Combination Motorsports. I am not sure what the CR is. Engine specs are:

LS1 6.0L iron block
Callies Racemaster 4340 Forged Crankshaft 4.000" Stroke
Callies Compstar Connecting Rods 6.125"
Mahle Forged Pistons 4.030" Bore, -12cc Dish
Mahle Plasma-Moly Piston Rings
PolyDyn Coated Clevite H series Cam, Rod, Main Bearings
ARP Main Studs
Fully Balanced
Assembled short block complete with build sheets

BIG QUESTION: When I read what you guys say about gasket trouble and backpressure (scary!!)what can I do to minimize the risks to my engine. I am not doing the build and will leave that to my builder, etc.

PLEASE RESPOND!!!

THANKS!!!!!

Get rid of that turbo system or go with a smaller cube setup. That is my personal opinion, but its ultimately up to you.

ya a t76 is too small for a 408, so either go with a smaller motor or bigger turbo.
