Question scared of boost lol

hey guys im am going to get a sts 5psi turbo kit and i have some questions.
i searched and couldent find what i was looking for.
im a little scared of boost because i dont want to blow crap up and hurt my car and have to start replaceing parts.
so what normaly goes wrong with puting a turbo on?
i dont abuse my car and i keep up matinence on it
the engine has about 35k on it and the tranny is fresh and every thing was gone through on it.
i dont go to the strip a lot and im going to keep my stock stall and i run street tires.
and also my car is lowered about 1 1/2 inches and i have read that it will sit to low but iv seen pics where the are tucked up nice so will i be ok or will i have to put a set of stock springs on?
im also going to have a full tune and maybe some biger injectors.

thx guys

your going to want to do a Walbro 255 fuel pump in addition to the injectors.Normally so long as the tune is kept safe and you dont abuse the car it should last. Also might want to consider a slightly higher stall like a 2500 or so.

I agree with ddnspider, the STS kit is awesome. As long as it is installed properly it shouldn't sit down too far. It sounds like you're not some punkass kid thrashing the hell out of your car so I wouldn't worry too much about skidding on the turbo, just drive slowly over bumps, etc. You'll be perfectly fine @ 5#, but don't think you'll stop there, I would recommend an intercooler or meth if you're stock compression. Grab a set of Ford Motorsports 42# injectors for cheap, along with a racetronix fuel pump and harness, and have it tuned. I also agree with the higher stall, these cars are heavy and you'll load it better off the line with a 2500-3000 stall and still have perfectly fine streetability. My buddy runs a rear mount on his (13# boost), 3.73's on a 26" tire with a 3500 stall, runs great and is still streetable! DO NOT half *** this kit, or your motor will come apart, trust me... I know from experience. My tune was lame and I had oil come in through the charge pipe and the motor came apart. It was an EXPENSIVE mistake. Hit me up if you need answers.

Hey where can you get those injectors, fuel pump, and harness? And what would you suggest for IC or Meth injection? and where to find it? I just bought an STS set but it's not here yet....

Meth injection is a wonderful complement to any FI system, but I don't think you should use one IN PLACE of a FMIC.

easy way to do it is just buy a complete kit. alot of sponsers sell fuel setups. i know the speed inc one is popular but look around, im sure other sponsers carry different setups as well, but this is usually the cheapest route.

okay, one more thing, Do I really need a fuel pump and injectors running just 5-6 psi? I have 130k on my car, so I wanna run just 5 psi and built a boost motor that can hold 10-12 psi easy, can I upgrade the FI then and be fine with stock setup for just a couple months or so at 5 psi?

crap.... can I run an inline fuel pump to add the fuel, or do I really gotta go in-tank? So @5psi all I need to worry about is my fuel pump and my injectors right? Then when I build a blower motor I can worry about cooling right?

Don't be skeeeeered of the boost...boost is your friend. Yes, it is highly recommended that you get a fuel pump (Racetronix comes to mind), a wiring harness ( again, Racetronix, readily available through many sponsors), some fuel injectors and a decent tune to optimize your performance. Don't forget the tune, watch for knock and please don't try to run boost on low (87 or 89) octane gas. Remember - always monitor for knock!
