Default STS Boost Question

I have a 408 with the t-60 and installed a manual boost control. You can close the valve all the way and it still makes 7lb.We even removed it completely and plugged the hole in the turbo going to the wastegate and it did the same.Any suggestions.

You must have a 7# rating on the wastegate spring.

I would go back and check the install instructions and make sure you have everything hooked up properly.

ummmm at 7 psi your pressure ratio is ~1.47.if you look at the air comsumption chart for a 408 its approximately 66lbs/min of air.now take a look at a T67 turbo which is quite a bit bigger than his T60....@66lb/min and a pressure ratio of 1.47 hes no where close to being on the chart in the efficiency range....so its even worse with the T60....really mismatched setup is the problem
