IC is always on, and once setup right, wont fail and leave you with a blown motor.
meth is good, as *extra* insurance. thats just an opinion.

over 5 psi, you * need * an intercooler.

I noticed you have a 2000 TA. If you are like me, I abhor the thought of cutting up the nose on my car. I wonder if meth and race gas would be ok as an alternative. I am unsure about the ATI upgraded twin intercoolers- do they require nose mods??

mighty mouse the stock system comes at 5psi - you have to upgrade to get 8lbs - when i upgrade i want to do it right the first time. Dave D yes it pains me to think of cutting up the nose and losing the fog lights. however texas rear turbo has a nose piece that looks ok.

it appears the intercooler is the group choice --- soooo if any of you have sts and a fmic what kit did you use - where did you get it?

after doing both, IC first then alcy, I must say my IC never droped the iat's by 30*, if I had to do over I would for sure go alcy first then see if I need an IC, making sure the tank is full is simple, after a few times using it you'll know how much your car eats, but you could allways get a kit w/the low level warning light...
