Default Is this turbo for real?

Alright, I've decided to do a sigle turbo setup on my stock LS1. Its a custom application and I will be building the setup myself. I was looking at turbos and found THIS. Is it a knock-off? Has anyone had any experience with a "JDM" turbo?

Also, would it be alright if I ran long tube headers on a rear mount turbo setup? Pros/Cons? Thanks

Scott

Its the ame generic GT45 type turbo...they copied the Masterpower Gt45 (70mm turbo). I am sure it would be fine for a simple DIY turbo kt.

Its a knock off indeed. I have 3 of them here, and they are 70% out of balance. Stay away unless you want a good paper weight.

Yes copy indeed and remember the GT45 is only ~ a 68mm turbo.

I also have a few of thoes style turbos, lost the oil seals on them. Also some shaft play in excess of what it should be for the low (400-500) miles that I put on them.
