Default Dyno today- breaking up above 4500 ?

Met up with Jeremy Formato(great guy!) to have my car tuned. And besides the fact that it kept blowing off intercooler pipes The car was breaking up above 4500. It would just start poping and lose power. It sounded like it was just not firing a couple cylinders. We never got a good dyno run above 5k really. He said the fuel looked good across the board.
The kicker is that when we ran it with one of the pipes blown off(no boost) it ran fine. It only seemed to have problem when running boost
We were thinking maybe I have a bad plug and/or they are getting blown out(gapped wrong).

Jeremy had another date halfway across the state so we had to call it a day. So now I"m going to take a couple of weeks to troubleshoot(and secure those pipes!) before trying the dyno again.

My car:
98 C5 6sp
P1SC with 4.0 pulley (showed about 7# @ 5XXX)
221\221 575\575
LT headers\ highflow cats\ Borla stingers
42lb green tops\ KB boost-apump
Plugs are ngk tr6 stock gap

What do you guys think ?

MAke sure your plugs are gapped at .035. Were you logging it while it was on the dyno?

I think he said he was running 16-22 through the curve, or vise versa.

I saw it peak around 7# at 5500ish RPM I think. I"m kicking myself for not grabbing some printouts from the dyno pulls

Valves are floating

or the clutch is slipping

or the MA max setting is too low

Well I pulled all the spark plugs. The back one behind the brake booster was broken, All the porcelen was gone from around it. I also checked the gaps, they were .037-.038.

So you guys think this was it ? If that plug was firing off the head at high revs It would explain the misfire.

Well I just got it all back together again. I put in new TR6 plugs gapped @.032 and while I was at it I put in new plug wires. I also removed all of the piping and hairsprayed all of the couplings(mega hold!).

I took it out for a mildy spirited run and it seemed to run fine. Aside from my boost gauge fying off the dash..... repeatedly(I really need to get that mounted). I didnt push it all the way to the top..maybe about 5500rpm but I didnt feel any drop off or hear any misfiring. And best of all none of my pipes blew off

I think I"m going to give it a week or two and keep an eye(ear) on it. Then its back to the dyno.
