Default One turbo project finished twin turbo ta is next!

I have been playing with dsms for last few years and latest is pretty neat.I have two dsms currnently a mildly modded 91 fwd turbo laser and my crazy moddded up 97 awd talon.

The 97 got full meal deal and just for you guys that think they are rice I can assure you they are not and my car is no 90% parts made in USA .
You can recognize most of the names of my parts.Engine is a 2.4 mits from 89 hyndai sonata.
Bigger engine spools turbo faster and really helps off boost torque.Standard engine is a 2.0 litre in the dsm cars.

My engine has crower rods, arp head studs and rod bolts, cometic gasket, wiseco pistons, manley stainless valves, crower springs and titanium retainers, crower stage 3 cams.Custome jm fab sheet metal intake manifold
and larger exh manifold. It has a Forced performance FP3065 650 hp capable turbo but ones have dynoed 620whp with similar mods to me off nitrous.Same turbo with similar mods has hit 9s in the quarter at like 140mph also off spray.

Fuel is supra twin turbo pump,950 cc injectors roughtly 95 pounders ,sx adjustable fuel regulator.I tune with 3 inch gm maf and maf translator and use laptop tuning also.

Expect this car to easily do mid 11s on pump and 10s on race in a full weight car.Car weighs about 3100 no driver in.

Just a bit more to do on this car and then its on to my twin turbo ta project.
Plan for it is 6.0 iron maybe punched to 402 .Have lingenfelter gt7 already and fast 90 getting NW 90 tb. Getting partriot lq9 heads though with 2.05 intake valves stage whatever. Getting for starters 60 or 65 injectors think hp tuners run speed density. Some big dual pump fuel system.
Have gmr twins on order should be ready for shipping soon I would think? Leo pm or email me.
Not sure on clutch yet..Know need a better rear end.

Yeah for sure 900 is huge power. I am shooting for a nice 700 or so rhp on my 99 but would be happy with just 500 to 600 engine hp for general use.

o yeah btw very nice car. friend of mine has a eclipse GSX with 16g fmic, turboback, bov, intake, and fuel mods and that thing FLY's!

i saw that video but i dont think it was the same car. i know which ever car it was, it wasnt making what the video claimed for that run (boost turned down or something).

for the original poster, have yout hought about running a stock LS2 block? traction is gonna be a HUGE issue with any style turbo engine of that size. i know his was a full on race car but harlan proved you dont need huge cubes with these cars to run the number. just a thought that might save you some dough.

Um not think want to go iron block 6.0 could maybe use stock 6.0 cam and save money there just forged up rods and pistons. I realize doubt I need any extra over just a 6.0.The true power comes from boost and on the street be severly traction limited anyway so whats the point of bigger cubes and faster spool?

I guess just like having forged everything in my motors..feel more secure but its like a 6.0 iron crank isn't decently strong or the ls1 crank for that matter.

Have to see how the budget goes.

I am an old guy that helps..48 this year! I have a paid for modest house and a decent job.I am property manager /owner. Business was family business father started it years ago.We had a small farm also .I got my degrees in pychology and business administration.Had an audio /video/speed shop business years back in around 1985 to 1991 and then worked as realtor for Century 21 for another 10 years or so. And have just done the property managing owning thing for last three years or so.
Don't work that much every month mostly drive my near 90 year old dad around thats my main job these days. So I have time to play with my cars. I plan on selling my 80 trans am and 91 laser fwd turbo and just keeping my 96z28 vert the wifes car actually and my 99 trans am and the 97 talon. I have 99 taurus and 2001 dodge ram sort of inherited my mom passed and the taurus was her car and my dad can't see good enough anymore to drive so I got the farm truck.
I don't actually farm we rent out our land.
I am not rich if I was would be driving a new z06 or something.I have lots of kids, grandkids and an xwife .I have grandkids and kids the same age.

Cars are my hobby most guys my age are into either their one expensive car or some ugly four door suv or something like that. For now I will keep playing with my current toys.my first car was bandit ta in 1978! Like firebirds ever since.
