Default Driveability

How bad is driveability with those 1000+rwhp engines?

Who has the most powerfull DD?How is your driveablility on the street?

About internals how much can the stock LS1/6 crank handle, how about the rods?

Intercooling:Would it be an overkill to have one big FMIC 2 in 1 out and 2 small Side mount Intercoolers 1 in 1 out, where is the limit on IAT with IC?

Don't know of any 1000rwhp DD's here. There are many 750-850rwhp cars though. (street power not dyno/race gas #'s)
I know PurEvl's car runs perfect for DD bumper/bumper traffic conditions with his street tune 800hp/790tq setup.

not an f-body but my tt 95 cobra makes 1020 to the wheels and the drivability is perfect,as a matter of fact my wife drives it to work on a regular basis and she is only 5'3"and 105 lbs,oh yeah and its a 6spd alot less forgiving than an auto

Your wife drives it?

I wouldn't let my wife drive a shopping cart much less a 1000+ rwhp brute.

BWAHAHAHA, that's

You don't need a big cam to make big power on a turbo car since there isn't a need to scavange the cylinders. With that...you can drive off boost and idle like a normally aspirated car (almost). So low speed isn't as much as a problem as a big HP N/A setup.

As far as cooling, a big enough radiator, proper coolant flow, and a good set of fans go a long long way in helping keep it properly cooled.

yeah i was alittle nervous the first time, but I made it very clear that she is not to touch the boost controller(that defaults to 10psi,720rwhp)for any reason, and i have to admit she does pretty well with the car Besides I have to have someone drive it home when Ive had to much to drink

ya, im at a touch over 830 rwhp, and the car drives just like a small cammed car until your foot is in it.

aside from the over heating issues ive had, when it gets back and should be fixed, it should be a dream to drive again.

Nice numbers, but about cooling, would you get a bigger w.pump or Bigger radiator

What about Injectors,Fuel rail pressure and F.pumps???

I´m thinking of 70-90# injectors and 420l dual F.pumps would that to small for 1500hp at 3Bar pressure?

injectors will be way too small for 1500 hp, even if it is crank (from what ive seen). I think most people run either 2 sets of 8 injectors, or they run 160#ers...

most don't even have a clue what they are saying. I see people posting "what setup for 1000 hp" all the time. People don't even realize what they are getting into, 500+ rwhp can be a handful on the street.

At 15psi boost on nittos I can't hookup below 100 on most vegas highways.

not that i have it, but you dont have to have radical street-unfreindly stuff when you have 1000 hp on boost

i have stock radiator, stock fans, stock water pump, 160 stat and no cooling issues

i have stock cam (ls6) stock intake (ls6) stock tb (ported) stock rockers stock crank stock ls2 block stock 98 tank and twin stock replacement fuel pumps

1000 rwhp?

I can barely hook with a cam-only '02 making just 421 rwhp/ 385 rwtq. I can only imagine when I add the twins next week.

I'm going to limit power to 600 rwhp or less until I get greedy.
