I think I'm finally going to swap cams..
Ran 6.16 @ 114 at like 3000' DA the other night with the old 3.7 pulley. Its funnt the car runs almost the same with 2 less psi of boost so I think it may be time to up the cam a little.
I have a comp 222/228 115lsa XE (.56x lift) cam here that I am tossing in, anyone care to make a prediction how it will do as opposed to the 204/211 116 .525 cam thats in it now? My dyno/dragstrip sim tells me .15 and 2mph in the 1/8 with no other changes. At least it will sound coolrr idling then the cam thats in it

I could be wrong, but that cam probably won't be to lopey. You need to get one of those " I've got a big compensating for something else cams" .
My buddy was running a 222/226 cam, custom for app, and was trapping 3mph higher that guys running "Ron Jeremy" cams.
I think you prediction is probably right on par. Was that a custom spec cam? Or just something you're tossing in to see how it works?

its out of a friends car, its an old A&A blower grind cam. But it still ran 5.76 @ 126 in a 3000lb TT 347 C5 a month ago so I guess it didnt know it was a blower cam.. Its laying here so I figured I would try it and see what happens.
I'm sure it will lope more then the cam that is in it

Is there any advance ground into that cam? How high are you planning to spin the motor?
It'll be cool to see you hit 5's but I think after you do it you should throw the Z06 cam back in hehe

the usual +2 is ground in, sim shows the shift points at 6750 and 6800 for best ET so thats like 150 more rpm then I am shifting now. I'm mostly worried about killing the 60' but we'll see, if it runs 2 more mph and the same ET the Z06 will be going right back in.
I spent a whole hour and a half on it today, too lazy to jack the car up to hold the flywheel so I can get the balancer bolt loose - if I didnt have to do that I wouldnt even have to jack it up to swap the cam. Got to love these cars..

tough decision lol.
But an F1 would do it with the z06 cam, I have no doubt. With the 3.4 pulley the IATs would rise nearly 15 degrees more on an 1/8 pass then the 3.7 so its pretty much a wash. While its making more boost the heat is killing it. I could maybe work around that with some meth injection but a bigger blower would be the better solution IMO.

Either way the car is running better then it did last november @ 700' DA at the same track with the old motor/heads, DA was 2000' higher and the car was 65lbs heavier and still ran .01 and 1mph quicker so I'm not complaining
