I am in the same boat. I got an 01 ls6 cam for $50. Main reason I did not get an 02 is I have not found one on here for a while.
I figure the 01 would be fine; lots of guys do real good with a stock F-bod cam. Hell, MM said some of his best times were with his stock 98 cam.

I figured it would do OK. Heck, might as well limit my power somewhat seeing as I am on stock shortblock.
Plus $50 for used LS6 cam versus 385 for new cam is a decent price difference.

I went to a Futral F7 cam 224/230 .588/.595 114+4 in hopes of building some torque with my FI setup. The guys on the CF forum are telling me the cams too big and killing torque and I should of stuck with Z06 cam or something smaller.
