Default Super to turbo guys...

I have been curious for a while so I thought I'd ask some of y'all that have made the switch.

Which blower did you have, and what size turbo did you go to?
What was your motivation to switch? Something new? Power curve?
Do you like the result of the switch (honest assessment here)?
How are the street manners of the turbo vs the supercharger?
Did your track times improve? MPH?
Which feels more responsive (e.g. grab the "oh $***" handle)?
How are the traction issues, any worse once boost hits?
If you had it to do over again, would you still have switched?

I realize that is quite a list of questions...I appreciate any time spent providing feedback to them.

I had a ProCharger D-1SC and switched to custom T3/T4's.

More power without belt headaches. Plus I wanted a quiet car again.

I love the turbos. I'd never go back to a supercharger.

Turbo is better as the partial throttle acceleration is awesome. That translates to more fun on the street in my opinion.

Yes. It's so much easier when the belt stays on.

Turbos.. Much more power under the curve.

I mainly use the car for 40-120 pulls so traction is similiar.

I would make the switch again in a heart beat. The only thing I would have done differently is do a forged motor when I put the turbos in. Now I have to pull everything out again for the new long block (I didn't blow the old one - just ready to start turning up the wick).

I had a Vortech T-trim, switched to a single T-76GTS.

I was trying to get the T-trim combo to go faster. I had been running 13 psi and wanted to go up to ~16. After switching pulleys, even an ultra-grip pulley and gatorback belt, I couldn't get over 14 psi. I removed all of the inlet piping and got 15, but can't drive it on the street like that. The turbo was the only way I could see to get more boost, plus make more power per psi boost.

Yes, I do. However, some sacrifices were made. I seem to work on the car alot more now.

Street manners are the same.

Best with the T-trim was 10.40 at 132.5 mph with a 1.52 60' in good weather. Best with the T-76GTS is 10.40 at 143 mph with a 1.86 60' (!!! turbo lag). The supercharger made 550 rwhp at 13 psi. The turbo made 570 rwhp at 13 psi, but went up to 680 rwhp at ~18 psi.

The supercharger hit "right now". The turbo has lag, but it sure feels cool when it spools up!

Well, 680 rwhp will definitely spin the tires more than 550 rwhp. I found better luck at the track with MT Drag Radials than ET Streets.

Yep, but then again, it's not my daily driver. I wouldn't put a turbo on a daily driver simply because the available supercharger kits fit so well and have near-OEM reliability.

The procharger I had was great, no hassles just change the oil....after I got the SDCE 8 rib set up. Before that there was a lot of belt slip headaches.

I went with a turbo due to maxing out my D1-SC up here at 5600+ ft. It was either upgrade to an F1R or go turbo. I went turbo and i'm really having a tough time getting the car back into fighting shape again after the swap, even though my car was built for FI before the s/c to turbo swap.

Turbo's need this that and the other to get the car moving The procharger was put it on, tune and hold the F on.
