Default How much can I get out of a P1???

I want to get a P1 procharger, but I really want a D1. Too bad I won't pass with that here in Ca. I want my car to be smog legall here so I was wondering if you guys can give me suggestions on what engine to get with forged internals. How much RWHP can I get out of a P1?

Lol... if you're gonna get forged internals and want to stay smog legal, I'd consider spraying on top of the blower...

I'd stay at 346 ci, and with good rods and pistons and a blower friendly camshaft, you shouldn't have any problems making enough boost with the P-1SC to make 650 to 700 rwhp.
Order it with the optional and larger 4.5" thick intercoolers, and the eight rib assembly. Bob

Thats been discussed a few times in different threads, it was decided overall that spraying after the charger was more efficient. By spraying before the charger the air will be pressurized and re heated making the nitrous less effective. I plumbed a 5177 kit into the plenum on my car with a small shot to help the 60' times. Also, I am no expert but a sudden sub zero chill to a hot impeller spinning at 50,000+ RPMs doesnt sound like the best idea to me.

Last year I got 518 rwhp @ 11 psi with full exhaust and no internal engine mods whatsover. The potential is there.

all I really want is 530-560rwhp. When you say good rods and pistons do you mean forged?

I think he meant spraying in addition to the blower. Bob

The main difference between the P1 and D1 is 200 cfm. Yes the P-1 can be upgraded for a fee to a D-1. Check ATI's web site for HP spec's.

$1200 for ATI to turn your P1 into a D1. The casing is the same, they just swap internals.

There is only an approx $200.00 difference in the price between the P-1SC and the D-1SC when initially ordering the ProCharger kit. It will cost you $1,200.00 to send in a P-1SC to get it upgraded into a D-1SC. Bob

I make 540 rwhp and 514 ft. lbs. with my P-1 pushing 7 psi. I have a small blower cam, heads, and full exhaust.
