Goals for this system are-

-800-900rwhp with fast spool

-No relocation or removal of accessories. All accessories, cooling system components and plastic shrouds, battery, etc, remain in the stock location.

-No blockage of cooling system airflow by intercooler.

-Gravity drain turbos

-Ease of maintenance and spark plug changes.

Parts used are-

-GT35R turbochargers (which are ball bearing) with 5-bolt t3 precision exhaust housings and To4e compressor covers. GT30R's will also be a direct bolt in.

-2 Tial 38mm wastegates (which will be re-routed), 1 Tial BOV

-All components are 16 ga mild steel to be ceramic coated inside and out or powdercoated (cold side).

-The system was built around a BMR tubular K-member and CSR starter.

-Precision intercooler. I looked at the chinese ones at 1/3 the cost, but did not like the quality. (also, the bumper support must be removed for installation)

I wanted to build another car that made 800+rwhp, capable of running in the 9's and also reliable enough to drive anywhere (as with my LT1). The manifolds are of a "log" type design, but their swept construction should improve flow over a traditional piece. That, and the T3 exhaust housings were the compromises to power that I made in return for packaging and ease of maintenance. After making some progress on this system I, and Dan (whom I work with at speed) decided to reproduce these systems to be sold exclusively through Speed Inc.

Systems include-
Fabricated Manifolds
Y-pipe (3.5in outlet)
Induction tubing (inlet and pressure)
threaded IAT sensor
Precision Intercooler
Intercooler mounting brackets
Silicone connectors
Constant tension clamps
Polyurethane motor mounts
BMR radiator shroud
CVR Starter and heat shielding
oil feed/drain fittings/hose
2- 38mm tial wastegates
2-K&N air filters
1- Tial BOV
Ceramic coated hot side, powder coated cold side
Wastegate ports in turbine housings machined/enlarged

With

GT35R ball bearing turbochargers- $9,250

PT67 P-trim ball bearing turbochargers- $9,050

PT300-6152 61mm standard bearing turbochargers- $8,350

The K-member is not included. I am not accepting orders for the system as I cannot guarantee a delivery date. They are being made available upon completion, and each system takes approx 2-3 weeks to complete.
Also, no deposits will be taken for this system. It will only be sold when they are ready to ship.

Well, I know this post is long as hell, but hopefully I covered most of the bases.

Much less room on the LS1, and it takes me 3 hours to change the plugs on my LT1, something I wanted to get away from.

I actually started building individual tube headers for the LS1, but they merged together so early it ended up looking almost identical to a log type manifold. (no room to merge all 4 tubes at the turbine inlet without completely blocking all plug access and relocating coils).

The CSR starter is an aftermarket replacement. It allows the exhaust housing to exist where the stock starter solenoid used to be.

As far as pricing, I have not figured it out exactly, but having a rough idea of the time and money invested in parts and materials I would estimate pricing to be in the $8,000 range with the GT35R turbos.

And thanks guys, I'm likely going to replace the engine before dyno testing, so results are still a ways off.

very nice, looks like a good improvement over the CAS style kits since they can hold a bigger turbo. and hopefully the plugs are easier to change then the CAS's also.

can the GT35's come with an internal gate so you dont have to route the wastegate plumbing?

Yes, the plugs are very easy to change, all line of sight, nothing in the way at all.

The exhaust housings have an integral wastegate hole, so all wastegate plumbing is part of the Y-pipe (downpipes). It is probably possible to use an internal gate, but I don't think there would be room for it in this application.

Jim, are you going to be using a stock displacement ls1 in this car?

Not sure exactly. I think stock cubes would be ideal, and anything over a 370 would probably make for some excessive backpressure.

I've been thinking about doing a 6.0 block, 4.8 crank and flat top pistons.

wow jim, it turned out AWSOME..... for a street car that someone wants to keep all the acc. on this is the ONLY way to go. a car can look and sound stock but make 800 rwhp. thats just amazing. How much are the turbo's alone if you were to buy them?

guys this kit is all high end quality parts. just remember
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
