Default Well if its not one thing its another...

Well, got the new eliminator pump in, car was running strong, very strong in fact.

This time i was actually spinning the tires in 3rd gear with my 315 bfg DR's.

anyways, i go to shift into 3rd gettin on the on ramp, and BOOM.

It didnt really make any explosion sounds at all, but the clutch just wouldnt hold anything.

i coasted into a gas station, stopped, put it into gear, let out the clutch and it was still idling.

Im thinking its either the clutch or maybe the input shaft was fried.

Anyone know what the warranty is, if any on a mcleod twin disk?

ummm... why not go for broke and get a textralia... have driven with one and was very light in pedal feel and held strong. 500rwhp H/C Firehawk. I know, no 800rwhp+ but i have read really good things about it. Also, its not 6spd accord soft but softer then any spec i have ever driven.

just a suggestion!! Seems like you are having the same luck i had with my motor but it was mostly valve springs, then another valve spring, then another.... and finally, another valvespring!!! changed to Patriots Golds from the endurance Ferrea and blamo, probelm solved!!

oh, i knew that

I was just rambling about MY problems.. you've had over heating issues, not this. Just making a correlation.

Will the clutch attempt to grab at all or does it just sit there and have no reaction to the clutch engaging?

oh, lol, over heating seems to be ok so far, just cant really get on it hard in the heat.

I can be stopped and put the stick into first gear, let out of the clutch and it just stays the same as if it were in neutral.

Theres no reaction so its gotta be one of the two things I mentioned.

NOTHING can break a mcleod twin disk, it must be something with the transmission

You can usually feel the gears in the tranny spinning (based on vibration thru the shifter). If you dont feel that when you "put it in gear" than its probably the input shaft.

TH400 + 2.75 gears FTW!

Do it now or do it after you blow up more clutches/transmissions.

If you think your car is fun as a 6spd, you should try it as a 3sp auto

Im gonna pull the tranny and clutch to day and see whats goin on under there.

Maybe I'll get lucky and just broke a U join on my drive shaft, but then again im sure I would have heard it break.

When driving it as it was coasting, everything felt normal.

Even when I went to shift into 4th gear the clutch had proper hydraulic pressure and everything felt as it was ready to go, the clutch just would not engage at all.

No grinding noises, nothing out of the ordinary. I was reading on mcleods website that their material is explosion proof, so if its clutch related im betting it just wore down the puck.

I just hope it broke whatever is cheapest, lol.
