Default What kind of difference in 1/4 mile times do you see from summer to cooler weather?

I'm wondering what kind of time difference most people are seeing from hot weather to cool weather. I haven't had the chance to run my car in cool weather yet. What I do know is that I'm running a lot of boost to run the times I am, but so is everyone else here that's turbo.

My best is 11.0 @ 124.7 mph [1.64] with 16psi. The temp was in the low to mid 90's at 11pm at the track. My methanol wasn't hooked up that night and I logged 166 degree IATs at the big end of the track. When the methanol works the IATs are about 90-100 degrees at the big end.

Our DA in summer usually ranges from 4600-8000', track is 2100 above sea level. In the winter on an absolutely awesome day, in the morning (40 degrees) our DA will sometimes be lower than our actual altitude, but I've never seen it go below 1600 before.

I'm guessing 10.7's will be what the car runs once the weather cools off or I at least get to run on a prepped track. I've never run on a VHT prepped track, LVMS is a world class track with a management team from a 3rd world country (sorry to insult 3rd world countries). The difference from day to night is typically 2mph on my car so far on the summer, 7pm vs 11pm.

Here are some times of FI cars from our track the night I ran
LT1 383 Transam 15psi D1SC 11.0 @ 128 4000lbs
LS1 346 camaro w/heads 14psi T76 11.1 @ 124 3700lbs
4g63 AWD DSM, 33psi GT35 10.9 @ 134 ????lbs
402 1st gen camaro, 15psi T76 10.2 @ 132 ????lbs <--- Jealous LOL

I'd say at least 2-3 tenths and 3-4 mph. DA is huge at least from the data I get from my car.

You asked the same question I was about to ask.. In my case the temparature was about in the mid 90's/85% humidty and alltitude here is about 3500ft. My best mph was 114 (2.226) and that was on my last run when I decided to leave because it was to hot. I was hoping to get a little closer to the 120 mph area, but was not able too. I was also lauching at about 2500 to 3000 rpm's so maybe that is why I was not trapping higher. Oh yea the track was prepped with VHT, and I was feathering out of the hole and nailing it in second with my BFG drag radial's. So I hope I can get an extra 5-6 mph's when it gets cooler.
