Default Need help with O2 sensors

I have a sandrail with a LS1 out of a 1998 Camaro in it. This summer I decided to turbocharge the car and have a question about the O2 sensors.

I read somewhere in the recent past that running race or avgas will cause the O2 sensors to fail eventually. I believe i read it on this forum but cannot seem to find it. So if this is a repeat topic my apologies... I tried.

I live in arizona and so the highest octane we have is 91 and i figure i need to do a mix of 89 and 100/110 avgas to keep detonation down.

So my questions are

1 is it true that the O2's will eventually fail?
2 If they will fail how long will it take for them to fail?
3 where would i go to purchase some that will handle the fuel?
4 and are there any signs of them failing? if they do fail will the pcm just run in open/closed loop ( i dont remember which is which)?

I dont have a check engine light. I do have a signal for the diagnostic port but i dont have the actual port so will it be a difference i will notice if they fail or will i have to read the codes to find out the O2 is failing or has failer?

thanks everyone for any information you can provide. This forum has been a life-saver for my project.

Dan
