Default coating the hot side of the turbo

has anyone coated the hot side of the turbo housing its self with like jet hot or other coatings. what benifit does this give if any. would it be worth it to do,

Well first some heat insulation, plus it keeps the rust away...which sucks if you have to service the turbo. Also looks much better

All the parts on my Incon TT were eigther jet-hotted or with this black type.

Looks good, no rust.

I put a "turbine boot" on my rx7 (an isulated sock like thing). my intake air temp. went down along with my underhood temp. After driving the car around town I could put my hand right on the sock without getting burned. worked pretty well, and I don't think they cost a whole lot.

well jet hot wants $110 to coat the hot side i think i will get it done to keep the heat in and out the exhaust for under hood temps.

VERY worth it. My turbine housing and whole hot side is coated and Ill be using a blanket.
