Default Intercooler Ice Box question

I was wonder if this would help make the air charge cooler or would this just be a waste of time ..

If it would matter this example would be a ProCharger ...

Idea would be to 1st have the incoming air go thru a front mount air to air and then run thru a ice box then back into the intake. My thought was that it would be cooler since the air would not heat up the water/ice in the *** because it would be cooled a little 1st.

any input would be great ..thanks

do u have room for all that? the icebox has to be a good size to do any cooling...then u would need a water resuvoir..and a pump to cool run the water.

Thats kinda what I was wondering too if that trade off would be worth it

I was thinking of making one where the rear seat would have been (camaro) I havent started building this yet I'm just getting ideas for how to build it .. It's mostly going to be a track car. I'm just sitting at work thinking up different ideas..

You would lose so much air flow going through two units..You would need to change the pully to compensate for the pressure drop.

if you can keep the piping short enough (maybe build the chargecooler into the intake???) then it could work great! intercooler will get you down to just above ambient and the ice box to sub ambient. and you dont need to run it all the time, maybe just a WOT.

then you could plumb the AC into the box so when crusing around or anytme your not WOT the AC is cooling the box down so oyu always have a nice fresh supply of cold water

but you still need to get the packaging right!!!

thanks Chris.

if you realy want it cold just get a single big A2W unit, adding two IC is just plain dumb, less you have a compound charged diesel
