Default 1000~rwhp on pump gas?

If money was no object, could you make a 1000 horse with a big cube LS motor and a big turbo on pump gas? Thanks, Tim.

yes but if money were no object...why would you. Also, you cant hook 1000hp on a street tire or even a MT DR....you might after a nice burnout but all that seems dumb if money is no object

Cars at the pump gas drags were doing 8.5 to 9.5's all over the place. The W2W nova is close to that I bet and was running 9.6's at the pump drags and what looked like pretty small DR's.

What?!?!?! Maybe not on the street, but you can hook way more than 1000hp on DR's at the track. Whats the DR record, somewhere in the high 7's? Thats probably 1300-1500hp.

My local track got closed down and I was thinking of a building an all around nasty street car instead of strictly drag. The reason I said "if money wasn't an object" is so I didn't get people saying "That it would be expensive". I know it's expensive, I know it would be insane on the street, I know anything is possible with enough money, I just wanted to know if it could be done. Thanks for the quick replys everyone, Tim.

Wolfe's gone 7.40's @ 197mph I believe on a drag radial. Not pump gas
of course, but definitely a DR.

It's not like you would be driving around on high boost on the streets all the time, racing around and ****.

I have a friend that has a Grand National that makes almost 1000 on Mobil 93. he did this through a T400 and a gear vendors and a 9".
It takes big cubes and a top end that can move alot of air and then add boost.
He does it with a 430 inch small block with twin 76s . The best part about it is that the car runs and drives as nice and tame as most 11 second cars.

Look at Mightymouse on hear. he is making right at about 1000 and his car is street driven all the time.

Back to the topic...1000hp on pump gas..no one asked about tires. I think 1000 on pump gas with a 408 and a good turbo setup is very doable. What's everyone else think. What would the magic recipe be? Any ideas? I just might be crazy enough to build it.

My idea so far is the W2W ls2 402 shortblock, some L92's, L67 intake (to offset the price on the shortblock) and two decent sized turbos (T67's?) on a truck manifold style setup. But it would definately be in a M6, and I would kill Supra's all day.
