Default Question with FI tune

Is it a bad idea to tune with an open downpipe and then add the rest of the exhaust after the tune? Reason I am asking is I am wanting to run open DP for the last couple of weeks the car will be on the road and save the exhaust for a winter project. It will not be a restrictive exhaust.

Default

it will be a safer tune like you are doing rather than tune for exhaust and then just open downpipe. Open will make more power...require more fuel/less timing so later when you bolt on the exhaust, you will be on a very conservative tune
