Default 2.73s for an M6/ boosted 383?

I did a search but nearly all info was for an auto. Plan here is 15-17# boost (T-70) on a built 383; want to stay M6; full weight/optioned street racer, very little track time; 315/35/17 BFGs; most runs from a roll, a few from a dig. Want to minimize shifting, get better/faster spool and maybe better traction. Would 3.08s be better? I get online only every other day so tnx in advance.

well I don't know too much about turbod f bodies, but my neighbor's twin turbo viper has a 3.08 gear and it pulls great imo, not too much gear for uncontrolable tire spin, and i think we pulled to about 150 in 4th. and 200 in 5th.

I think a 2.73 gear on a 6spd would be a bad choice, your clutch would be hating you.

Yeah, too tall, especially if you're running a taller tire. Not saying to with 4.10's, cuz I hate mine, but anyway, run mid 3's, should get you going and load the turbo correctly. T70 is really too small for that kind of boost on a "well flowing" engine, it'll be past it's curve and won't be as efficient as a bigger turbo. I plan on doing the same thing with mine though, so who am I to talk! *wink* Good luck!
