Default New Dyno Numbers!

Just finished up having my car tuned at GMR speed. The final numbers are 638.3hp / 739.5 tq. We would have taken it higher but we ran out of injectors. It feels great on the street with the power it is making though. Its impossible to keep the car pointing forward
Thanks again for the help today Leo, and good luck with that bet

how are you running out of injectors with 65lbers. are you running them at 30psi or something?

This had all of us stumped. Fuel pressure was 65psi on the rails I believe. the injectors were running at 95% of their duty cycle.

You could run out of injector if you are running the car really rich.I thought 65 pounders could support much more hp. You are running the meth system correct?
Are you running 100% meth or mix of water and meth?
What is max fuel pressure a guy can run with adjustable reg?

No i was not running meth nor running rich. I forget what they said a/f was showing. Maybe leo will chime in with it.

The meth would let you run much leaner if you were trying to run on pump gas. This would help the injector duty cycles. Also meth will let you run more boost and more timing win,win scenario.
In terms of numbers just for example on dsm cars like my talon guys run like 20 max on pump 94, 25 or so on 50/50 water/alc injection and 30psi on 100% meth injection and can crank in more timing and lean the afrs out a lot more.
I am curious in your setup as building a similar one just trying to decide on some last minute things.I think am going with 6.0 iron not sure if going with forged crank hear the 6.0 iron can take like 1000rwhp? Think going patriot lq9 heads in bigger chamber size,of course forged pistons and rods.Fuel maybe twin externals like gmr sells but internals might be quieter, externals are easy to get to though if you need to service them.Of course adjustable fuel reg and bigger rails and was hoping 65 pounders would do for up to 700 or 800 or so rwhp. Really would like to have around 1000 engine hp potential with the twins.
They probably are running you pretty rich if you were on pump to give you nice safe tune. Better safe than sorry.

This did confuse all of us with the injectors, we kept the car around 11.5:1 to be extra safe. We did find a couple small problems that needed to be addressed after taking the car off of the dyno that could yield some horsepower, if we were not so busy yesterday I would have thought to throw the car back on the dyno, but as I am sure anyone who was at the shop would agree we were SWAMPED yesterday.
Calvin did a very nice job on the car and there is quite a bit left in it.

I have the fuel system from gmr. Its a great setup. They are also the ones that put together my engine. Check with them about getting your parts. Its hard to beat their prices let alone their service!

Nice #'s! Is this with their log manifold kit? Maybe I missd it, but how much boost were you running?

This is with a truck manifold kit. Numbers were on 17psi. Peak power was around 4500rpm

Nice #'s though my only concern is 17psi and 638rwhp is a bit odd. Are you guys running extermely conservative timing?? That also could explain why your are maxing the injectors so early. Just a thought

Like Leo said, there was a problem that we noticed when pulling the car off the dyno that was a power robber. Thats probably why the hp was so low on that psi
