The best cam for a STS is a MTI stealth II cam. That is the cam all the fast STS guys are running. Very good all around cam. There Stealth I cam is excellent also.

Well for my STS (you can see my numbers) I ran a LPE GT-7 cam... great if you want good power and still near stock drivability...

Speaking of which... it is for sale now that I am going with a 408

I run the "tried and true" TR224 on a 112LSA. A 114LSA would be better for the turbo, but it works and gives good street manners too.

As a comparison the SpeedInc turbo specific cam is a 225/225 on a 113LSA with nearly identical lift.

Hope this helps you out.

I know this thread is about a Cam for a STS, but what cam and specs would you recomend for a LS2 402 going S-88 turbo front mount? Thanks ahead of time. So how close is your setup to being done longrange4u? I bet you cant wait.

Its getting close to being done... next weekend I hope.

As for the cam... I dont think STS cam is different then Turbo cam... Size of the motor, HP and Driveability goals are the things that effect this the most I think.

Depends on what your HP vs Driveability goals are...

I had the GT-7 cam when I rebuilt my motor I hated the way it sounded and the power just never felt right. I had the Stealth II cam just sitting there so I swapped them. I am much happier with the Stealth II then I was with the GT-7. I really dont think there is enough turbo on the STS to really make that cam come alive. I know they are using that cam on their twin turbo Corvette.
